it's a bit of a false myth that it takes some months to become fertile after stopping taking the pill.. so if you had unprotected sex you might as well be pregnant.. and by now most of the HPT would show it if you are... so i'd listen to your husbands advice and do one. It may be that your period is a bit deregulated because you're not on birth control anymore, but you also may be that you're pregnant - if you are, the HPT should show it by now so whatever the outcome at least you'll know!
