Since you took Next Choice within the recommended time, you probably are not pregnant. Emergency contraceptives can cause changes in the menstrual cycle, such as periods come earlier or later or lighter or heavier.
For peace of mind, call your doctor. Tell him or her what has been happening. Your doctor can decide if you need to be seen, if you need to have a blood or urine pregnancy test done or if Next Choice side effects are the cause of your symptom.
