Hello, Rosa

Thank you for responding. I would like to know if having both Hashimoto's Disease and gallbladder dysfunction would make me more prone to having Celiac disease. I have read that this is the case in several websites. If so, is there a blood test that is reliable to test for Celiac? I am wondering if the gallbladder dysfunction is the cause of my bloating, gassiness, constipation and general gastrointestinal malaise. I know I feel better if I do not eat .... but that could also be gallbladder related. Also, is gallbladder "sludge" always detectable on ultrasound? I have read about Hidascan testing that shows the level of gallbladder dysfunction. I have not had that. It has been determined through ultrasound that I have 4 small shadowing gallstones, no wall thickening, pericholecystic fluid or Murphy's sign. The diagnosis was cholelithiasis. I suppose I'm asking if having the test for Celiac disease is something I should do or if the upcoming gallbladder removal, given the above diagnosis, will take care of the symptoms I have described above. I know I'm all over the map in my question-asking. I hope that gives you some idea of what I'm hoping to determine. Thank you again! Ellie
