But Stress itself can affect many things in our lives, including our periods. Sometimes we're so stressed out that our body decreases the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which causes us to not ovulate or menstruate. Also, the breast tenderness and cramping can be due to your Menstrual being delayed. You might want to wait a week before taking a pregnancy test. Once you have conceived, it will take about 10-14 days for hCG to show up in your urine. If your period doesn't come in a few days, it's important you see your doctor.
