You can take a pregnancy test a few days before your period (4-5 days before). If you test negative, wait and see if your period comes, and if it doesn't, re-test. Sometimes the stress of thinking you're pregnant can make your period late!!
I hope it works out--I know how stressful waiting can be!
Also--it's best to use the first urine of the day for pregnancy tests because it hasn't been diluted by drinking water just so you can pee on the stick/cup.
