The irritation is definitely a reaction to the different brand of soap.
However, I am concerned that the increased vaginal discharge and odor may indicate an infection. Does the discharge look like cottage cheese?
A thick discharge that resembles cottage cheese, itching and odor are signs of a yeast infection. You should consider speaking with and scheduling an appointment with your gynecologist.
I would hesitate trying an over the counter treatment until you know for certain the cause of these symptoms.
