Tamoxifen is usually prescribed for women with early stages of breast cancer or to those with metastatic breat cancer and also to those with high risk of it, due to a strong family history of breast cancer. It might be good to discuss with your doctor before taking it, about your family history of strokes and high blood pressure if you haven't done so. Some studies show a small increase of blood clot and stroke.
