Give your doctor a telephone call and mention that you have noticed some spotting. Even if you cannot get into the office, you can speak with the nurse who can pass the message on to the doctor, or may be able to give you an answer.
I had an episode of spotting, about the size of a quarter and brown in color when I was about 3 months pregnant with my first child. I called my obstetrician, who was very reassuring. It was nothing. I carried the baby to full-term. That "baby" is now 25 years old!
