Pre ejacculate fluid itself does not contain sperm. However, as in your situation, sperm can remain in the male's urethra from a prior but recent ejaculation. Any tag along sperm is removed when the guy urinates.
If there was no pre ejaculate fluid on his finger, you are okay.
There is no way of knowing for sure.
Since you are sexually active and not ready to become pregnant, please use some type of birth control. The available options range from a daily birth control pill to the Depo-Provera injection.
