Hi. I am a 42 year old woman and started taking hairburst four days ago. After two days I got severe abdominal pain and I have been in a lot of discomfort since then. I have been to the doctor and he doesn't know what it is, but has given me a course of antibiotics in the meantime. I should be having an ultrasound scan some time this week. To me it feels gynaecelogical, but basically there is pain and discomfort all around that region. I also had a new IUD fitted, so I realise there is a chance it could be related to that, but I have had 2 identical IUDs before with no symptoms like this. The GP has examined me and says that the IUD appears to be in the correct place, but presumably an ultrasound will confirm this (or otherwise). The only other thing I could think of that was different was that I started taking the hairburst capsules, and so on Googling side-effects I have come across all of this! I stopped taking the capsules yesterday (before I read any of this), just because of the small (or so I thought) chance that it could have something to do with that.
I hope to remember to update this post when I know what is/was causing me all this pain and discomfort. If it is the hairburst then I will definitely be contacting the company.
