Doing research on the how long Next Choice stays in your body, I found that it is uncertain how long it is effective. Next Choice should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sex and both pills need to be taken.
Next Choice Next Choice prevents the egg from being (1) released from the ovary (ovulation), (2) fertilized by the sperm (fertilization), or (3) attached to the uterus (implantation). Implantation occurs about 7 days after ovulation.
Implantation bleeding is scanty and usually pink or brownish discharge. It usually occurs about a week to a few days before your period should normally start.
It is wise that you made an appointment with your physician. Tell your physician everything that happened since May 11. If your physician suspects that you might be pregnant, a blood pregnancy can be done.
