Hello primreddy,
Irregular periods is one sign of perimenopause, which is the interval in which a woman's body makes a natural shift from more-or-less regular cycles of ovulation and menstruation toward permanent infertility, or menopause.
Women start perimenopause at different ages. How old are you?
In your 40s, or even as early as your 30s, you may start noticing the signs.
A hormone imbalance may be another cause of your irregular menstrual cycles. Consult your physician. A physical examination or blood test to check pituitary and thyroid hormone levels may provide an answer.
