I am just going on Vitamin D3 supplementation. I'm going on a heavy 10,000 to 15,000 IU per day program, and supplementing with Vitamin K2, which is necessary when taking D3. I am reading a book that I found online on Amazon.com called (kind of hilariously) THE MIRACULOUS RESULTS OF EXTREMELY HIGH DOSES OF THE SUNSHINE HORMONE VITAMIN D3 [Kindle Edition] written by a guy who took even higher doses for years and experienced healing of old skeletal injuries. I was intrigued by some of the research, and the ability of Vitamin D3 to actually reform bones to their former shape, so I figured hey. Just, just started my program, so I can't say yet, of course. That, plus making sure your daughter has all the minerals like magnesium (most people are both magnesium and Vit D3 deficient - scoliosis patients SEVERELY); getting good, safe, back-strengthening, pain-relieveing exercise (I highly recommend the T-Tapp program - you can find them online and call their office and have a real person advise you on what program to use); and believe it or not, taking care of her digestive system with high-quality probiotics and digestive enzyme supplements. Without these, mineral absorption is a lost cause. I wish I had known all these things when I was your daughter's age, but I have hope, even at 47!! God bless you both. Don't give up. Really.
