While you couldn’t call it a disability, it was a lack of ability. In 10th grade (sophomore in high school) I took a mechanical drawing class. (Drafting) I wasn’t the neatest student in the class, and my work would like as not be turned in with a smudge or two and some erasures. This earned me the nickname “charcoal” from the teacher, which gave everyone a great laugh at my expense. I was a sensitive kid, and this was really intolerable to me. I asked to be removed from the class, but my father, who was always about toughening me up said no, carry on and finish. The problem was the teachers were also the track and football coaches so the nickname spread to the athletic field as well. I just hated it. I was glad to move away, which we did the following year.
