There is a chance of possible scratching inside the walls of the vagina from fingering though which will cause some possible bleeding that you explained. Sometimes though, your periods can have a mind of its own and can be irregular at times for no apparent reason. Although, these are few and far between, it just sometimes occurs with no good reason. If you need a sense of relief, take a pregnancy test. When it comes back negative, this will help settle your nerves but if you are not having penetration sex, you should be safe.
