Small variances in WBC count can be "normal" for some people particularly when they have certain conditions and this does not raise a red flag for doctors unless it is accompanied by certain symptoms or a drastic change. If you feel like your doctor is no longer listening to you, please visit a few doctors until you find one that you are comfortable with. I will tell you that most doctors do not screen for cancer unless you have specific symptoms that could possibly be indicative of a certain type of cancer.

Symptoms of Colitis include:
January 9, 2013 - 8:30amAbdominal pain and bloating that is constant or comes and goes
Bloody stools
Chills
Constant urge to have a bowel movement
Dehydration
Diarrhea
Fever
