But, if you are bleeding with every bowel movement, you must notify your physician. Is there bright red blood in the bowl and on the tissue when you wipe? Can you see flecks of blood in the stool?
Black,tarry stool indicates a problem in the upper gastrointestinal tract, while maroon or bright red, bloody stools indicated a problem in the lower part of the GI tract.
