Guide

Hello Anonymous,

When taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, Plan B helps prevent pregnancy from happening by stopping ovulation, as you mention, and may also work by preventing fertilization of an egg, which is the uniting of the sperm with the egg, or by preventing attachment or implantation to the uterus.

I do not know how effective Plan B is in preventing pregnancy if you have unprotected sex days after taking it. I think that is what you are asking.

Some women will have mild side effects after taking this pill. These include changes in your period, nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness.

The only way of knowing if Plan B has been effective is when you get your next period. If your period is late beyond one week, you should test for pregnancy.

I don't know if this help because it is based on information found on the product website.
