The 20th day of the menstrual cycle may be past the day of ovulation. Ovulation occurs mid-cycle, about 14 days before the start of the next period. But, if you ovulate a little later, there is a risk for pregnancy.
Sperm must be released and enter the vagina to fertilize the released egg. If the male ejaculates, and the female has ovulated, there is a chance for conception.
