I didn't have a "cherry pop" and neither have a lot of women I know. The hymen does not fully stretch across the interior of your vagina. It's more of a ring, or doughnut-shaped. Exercise, fingering for gentle stretching before you first have sex, or even just the position can help avoid tearing...which is really actually a good thing...your cherry does not need to be "popped." If you don't have sex for a while it can start to come back or even if you try a new position you could hit it from an angle that it's not used to and you can experience bleeding long after you've lost your virginity.
