Hi Melissa6666!

Thank you for seeking opinions from the EmpowHER community! I am also very happy that you stated that you always get useful and helpful answers from the members of the EmpowHER community! I agree, it's an awesome site to get answers to your questions and easily find the answers to questions that interest you.

I think it's great that your friend is doing research on medical and health topics. It shows that she is really passionate about health and sharing information with others.

Typically, a medical researcher or scientist has gone to college to get a degree such as a Bachelor of Science. It is only my opinion that in order to publish conclusions on a study, a person would have to follow a very specific protocol and scientific method.

Just because someone doesn't have a degree or maybe didn't follow a specific experiment, doesn't mean that the results they have discovered are not important.

I would have her send her findings to various organizations for their review. There's no harm or risk in sharing information with a professional organization. It would be my hope for her that they would review her hard work and contact her to discuss further. If her work is truly profound, she might have the opportunity to get involved in something greater than just what she has been able to do on her own.

Something like this takes persistence and perseverance. With thick skin and a whole lot of ambition, her work could easily become her dream! I certainly wish her the best of luck in her endeavor!

Let me know how it goes!

Best of luck!

Kristin
