Anonymous, levels of hCG, which is the hormone produced only during pregnancy, can be detected in urine about 12 to 14 days following conception. You have the greatest chance of conceiving during your fertile period, which is two to three days before ovulation, and 12 to 24 hours after ovulating.

To get the most accurate results with a home pregnancy test:
use the first urine of the morning
read all directions and follow them carefully/check expiration date

You could repeat the test. If the results are still negative, you have two options. Wait to see if you get your period in the next week or two or schedule an appointment with your gynecologist.
