Hi Melissa6666,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your question with EmpowHER! I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with this uncomfortable bump after your surgery.

I think that's a good idea you scheduled an appointment with your doctor to check out the bump. They will be able to thoroughly check it out and determine the best way to treat it.

Even though it looks like you can pop the bump, I would not do that. Popping it and touching it frequently might irritate it further and make it worse.

Have you had bumps like this appear on your skin before? Dermatofibroma is common among many people. Sometimes more than one may appear at a time, so it is very likely that may be the case. Does this bump look similar to the other one you had removed?

Luckily dermatofibroma is harmless usually and not connected to skin disease like skin cancer. Here is more information about dermatofibroma on EmpowHER: https://www.empowher.com/condition/dermatofibroma.

If these bumps continue showing up, it may be a good idea to see a dermatologist as they specialize in skin treatment. They may be able to help you find a topical treatment for your skin that can help with this.

I hope this helped! Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best,
Erin
