I think the result of the August 20 hpt was a false positive. The reasons are: you finished your period on August 10, had unprotected sex on August 17, which would have been too early for you to ovulate, and you tested on August 20. Even if you conceived on August 17, it was too early for implantation to occur and hCG levels to be produced and detected.
I strongly suggest you schedule an appointment with either your primary care physician or your gynecologist. Your complaints of sharp abdominal pain and lower back pain need to be evaluated.
This may be a kidney problem and may have nothing to do with being pregnant or not.
