Guide

Hi anonymous and thanks for your question.

I think you need to take a deep breath first and try to get your bearings. Postinor-2 is intended for use only as an emergency contraceptive. It is the most effective in preventing pregnancy when taken within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected intercourse.

If you have the package insert, please take the time to read the information to better understand the product. The information that I am able to find is for a two pill version, and states the second pill must be taken exactly 12 hours after the first tablet. It's very possible that the way in which you took the tablets impacted your period.

Also, it's not unusual for a period to arrive slightly early or late after using this product. If it is more than one week late, or if it is unusually light, it's advised to take a pregnancy test.

Hopefully everything is going to be okay for you, but right now only time will tell.

Take care,

Pam
