Hi Anon and welcome to EmpowHER:
Many treatment options are available for itchy skin, including over the counter and prescription drugs, plus alternative therapies. They include:
- Antihistamines: topical diphenhydramine and oral doxepin. - Corticosteroids: hydrocortisone cream and oral prednisone. - Local anesthetics: benzocaine, diperodon, lidocaine, menthol, pramoxine, capsaicin. - Over the counter moisturizers.
If your problem is severe you should see a dermatologist who can diagnose the condition and prescribe prescription medications.
Hope that helps,
Pam
