In that case, you can feel comfortable ruling out the possibility of pregnancy. If you still want to be absolutely certain you can always take a pregnancy test.
Irregular periods can happen for many different reasons. To name a few: stress, too little sleep, medications, anemia, hormonal imbalances, or illness could be the causes.
Usually, an irregular period is no reason for alarm. But if it continues to be irregular every month, or you miss your period all together, see you doctor.
