Guide

Hello, and thank you for sharing your question with the community.  I'm sorry to hear of this break out you are having, and I'd like to give you some tips on how to treat it.

There are several homemade skin care remedies that I would suggest.  Here are the ingredients that are proven to be most effective: oatmeal, lemon, honey, sugar, coffee grounds, and apple cider vinegar.  All these ingredients are gluten free as well.

Each of these ingredients has their own unique benefits for the skin.  You can use them individually or make mixtures from them.  To start out, it is best to use one at a time to see how your skin reacts.  You can then start to make mixtures from these ingredients.

When skin develops acne, or rash of any kind, the more stimulation that skin receives, the worse it can get.  Therefore, you don't need to aggressively scrub or over treat your skin to heal it.  One or 2 treatments a day is good enough.

Now lets talk about how to apply these ingredients.  A mixture of lemon, honey, and sugar is a wonderful cleaner for acne and scar removal.  Lemon has vitamin C which is known to be #1 is rejuvenating the skin.  Sugar is the key to exfoliation and honey keeps your skin soft and moisturized during exfoliation.  Any kind of exfoliating scrub should have a moisturizing contents because dry skin can cause acne as much as oily skin can.

Next, oatmeal is great for an all in one treatment.  It moisturizes, exfoliates and rejuvenates all at the same time.  You can make a paste by adding water to the whole oats, or you can grind the oats into a powder for a more smooth face cleanser.  For additional benefits, you can make a mixture of coffee grounds, sugar, baking soda and ground oatmeal.

Lastly, steam, steam, steam!!!!!  Steaming in saunas, hot baths, or over a pot of boiling water is great for skin!  It not only opens the pours, it also stimulates your lymphatic system.  When the lymphatic system is stimulated your body circulates liquids and nutrients faster in order to rejuvenate the skin which is generally the last organ of the body that receives nutrients. Apply a scrub after a steam in order to take advantage of cleansing the pours while they are still open from the steam.

There are so many great ways to treat your skin from homemade recipes and remedies!  But remember that everyone is different.  If you try all these suggestions and nothing is working, don't give up!  There is so much more we can talk about, and remedies to explore.
