Taking an emergency contraceptive pill means you have protected sex, not unprotected sex.  This pill is almost 100% effective when taken within 24 hours after having sex.

Common side effects of the pill can cause "pregnancy-like" symptoms such as nausea, tender breasts, cramps, spotting etc.  This does not indicate pregnancy.  It indicates that the medication worked.
