Postinor 2 is most effective if taken as early as possible following unprotected intercourse.
You will know if it worked to prevent pregnancy if you have vaginal bleeding.

Postinor 2 works by preventing ovulation. In your case, you took it on the day you ovulated, so I doubt ovulation was prevented.

It also causes changes in the cervical mucus to make it harder for sperm to reach and fertilize the egg. In your case, it may have prevented pregnancy in this way.

If you do not have any bleeding within three weeks of taking the pill, take a pregnancy test.
