Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

When a new nail grows on top of an existing nail, usually there was some damage to the original nail. Was your nail damaged in any way? Do you have any other symptoms? Is there any blood collecting in the nail bed or are you experiencing any pain?

Whatever the cause, damage or not, you should have it seen by a medical professional. It might be best to have the nail totally or partially removed.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
~Gillette
