Guide

Hello josephkiosan,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for sharing homeopathic remedies for menstrual issues.

Keep in mind that natural products are not always necessarily safe and dosages can be important.

Belladonna is LIKELY UNSAFE when taken by mouth. It contains chemicals that can be toxic.

Side effects can include dry mouth, enlarged pupils, blurred vision, red dry skin, fever, fast heartbeat, inability to urinate or sweat, hallucinations, spasms, mental problems, convulsions, and coma.

When you mention cocculus, are you referring to the dried levant berry, which is called “cocculus fructus” or “cocculus indicus” in commercial trade?

If so, user beware. Levant berry has been used to relieve malaria, treat lice, stun, or kill fish and game, and manage epilepsy. Its use in medicine has largely been abandoned in the United States and Europe. It is no longer considered safe.

Regards,
Maryann
