There are a number of reasons you could be bleeding during sex. Some include:
Injuries to the vaginal wall
Infections (for example, gonorrhea, Chlamydia, yeast infections)
Lowered estrogen levels in peri-menopausal or postmenopausal women may cause the lining of the vagina to become thinned and easily inflamed or infected
Anatomical lesions, such as tumors or polyps on the cervix or vaginal wall
Possible pregnancy
Make an appointment to see your doctor again so the cause of the bleeding can be determined.
