If you've taken the ipill as instructed, it's more than likely effective in preventing pregnancy. Emergency contraceptives contain hormones. Anytime you adjust your hormone levels, you can expect that your otherwise normal menstrual cycle is going to become irregular. Expect that your menstrual cycle will be off the regular schedule for at least 1-2 months until your hormones level out.
It doesn't hurt to take a pregnancy test to rule it out and give yourself peace of mind.
