Normal periods can be anywhere from 21 to 35 days apart. Sometimes when they are 21 days apart they can cross between months making it seem like you had 2 periods in one month.
However, if this is not the case and you are bleeding more frequently, you need to see a doctor. Having periods every 2 weeks for example can indicate issues such as ovarian fibroids, cysts, or polyps.
Often doctors immediately prescribe birth control pills for irregular periods. However, I highly recommend you receive a pap smear before receiving any treatment to guarantee you are being treated properly.
