Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for coming to us with your concern.

There was no risk for pregnancy by having intercourse during your period.

Conception happens when a released mature egg is fertilized by sperm. During ovulation, which happens around day 11 to 21 of the menstrual cycle, one ovary releases an egg.

Anonymous, you can calculate ovulation by counting the first day of your period as day one.

The i-pill prevents ovulation. One side effect is a change in the menstrual cycle. Your next period may start earlier or later than expected. Menstrual flow might be lighter or heavier than normal.

Anonymous, you did not become pregnant. If your next period is more than one week late, contact your gynecologist.

Regards,
Maryann
