I am confused by what you say in the first paragraph. Did you take the second dose because you vomited or what was the "for some reason".
There was no concern in decreased protection against pregnancy by vomiting before the dose and the delay in taking your pill 2 1/2 hours later.
Vomiting 5 1/2 hours later may or may not have eliminated the oral contraceptive from your body.
Taking an emergency contraceptive later in the day may have been too much. Oral contraceptives and emergency contraceptives contain hormones, higher amounts in ECP, prevent pregnancy by suppressing your pituitary gland, which stops the development and ovulation.
Please speak with your gynecologist about what has happened. My concern is the effect of the additional doses of hormones on your menstrual cycle.
