Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to our community, but you really need to speak with your gynecologist, who prescribed the oral contraceptives.
Some women will experience spotting in the early months of starting the pill. I am concerned that the light bleeding has gone from brown to red and increased, even slightly.
It may indicate you need to be switched to a different pill, or could be related to preventing a period for two months. Your doctor will know.
I appreciate your hesitation in mentioning this to your mother. But, you have done nothing wrong and should not be afraid to tell her about this. She will find out if you need to be driven to the doctor's office or get a new prescription.
