Postinor 2, like all emergency contraceptives, is intended to be used in an emergency situation, not used in anticipation of sex. It should be taken within 72 hours of intercourse. When used within 24 hours, (which you did even if it was was an hour before sex,) it's about 95% effective in preventing pregnancy.
