It's also a non-profit system, unlike the US so she (or her family) won't go bankrupt trying to pay for her healthcare. She's likely in very good hands.
Triglycerides are fats in the blood. A level of 2200 is high. This could affect her heart. What is her general health like? At 17, she should have family with her - is this the case? If not, someone needs to fly over there to advocate for her. We could only guess as to what may be going on.
