A netti pot is chemical/drug free so you can use it as much as you need it.
The netti pot use will at least temporarily stop the feeling of suffocation but there are also medications like Mucinex that can help.
Is this something temporary that is going on or is this an ongoing issue? If it's ongoing, you need to see an ENT (Ears, Nose & Throat) specialist. You won't need to explain your symptoms in detail; they will know what you mean.
