Shrimp is high in cholesterol but still has many health benefits like protein and Vitamin B12. They are low in calories and do not contain saturated fat which can lead to increased cholesterol. So shrimp can be eaten as part of a healthy diet but in moderation.
Also, be wary of dousing them in butter, cream or mayonnaise based sauces - that will quickly increase the unhealthy cholesterol factor. Instead choose fresh lemon or some other low fat source that you like. I've never eaten shrimp so I can't give you many dietary recommendations for sauces.
