Me and my boyfriend have sex a lot but we always practice the perfect use of using condoms. We change them and never re use and we always use one too. It takes a lot for my boyfriend to cm and we does he does it in the condom and pulls out anyways then we switch it and use another condom. Just this Saturday we had sex and as always he was taking a while to cm then when he finally did I told him to cm on me and he did it on my stomach then a little bit on my thigh. I noticed I haven't gotten my period when I was supposed to March 28 and it's already ganna be the last day in March tomorrow. This has happened before where there was a delay in my period but that was back in jan/ February and we hadn't even had sex then U Til mid March. Im started to worry a little that I could possibly be pregnant. What's the problem?

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern about a late period.

It is not uncommon for a woman's menstrual cycle to vary by a few days from one month to the next. Since the menstrual cycle is regulated by a delicate balance of hormones, any thing that upsets the balance can cause an irregularity.

High levels of cortisol produced during a time of high stress can delay the start of a period. Having the flu, increasing your exercise levels and of course pregnancy can cause a late, and missed period.

Wait at least four or five more days. If your period still has not started, take an early response pregnancy test. Test in the morning using the first urine of the day.

Regards,
Maryann
