I'm 17. I never had sexual intercourse (penetrated with a penis) I had my period since I was 11, and have always had cramps. Bad cramps. That's why I got on the pill when I was 14-15 years old. So about 3-4 years. Even then I had cramps (not as bad though). I never took them 100% correctly until these last couple of months where I tried to be a bit more strict with them. Still not perfect, but I didnt miss any pills, and took them around the same time. Anyways, My bf and I got carried away and he got a little aggressive on me and my lady parts. However, this wasn't the first time. I had pregnancy scares in the past because I thought (and still think) that the sperm on my hands or his made it's way to me (even though he's never touched me after he had it on him) We have fooled around multiple times, but never consited more than HJ's BJ's and being fingered. I was usually always taken care of first, then him. Sometimes at the same time. anyways, after he fingered me.. I went to the bathroom and noticed a light brown tint to my urine and it was also light brown on the toilet paper. I went home and wiped again and it was a light pinkish - orangish color. This morning there was dark reddish - brownish blood in my underwear and so I put a pad on and bled bright red blood pretty steadily throughout the day. However, I have no cramping; like at all. I had a few here and there but they lasted for like 5 seconds and that's it, and I have only had like 3-4 within 3 days. Today is the fourth day since the pinkish - orangish blood, and I'm bleeding at all right now, no cramps. I have been on ortho-cyclen birth control pills for at least 2 years. However, slacked on and off of them except for these past two months where I've been strict on them. I'm really concerned on why my period is like this. What is this bleeding? Why are there no cramps. Could I be pregnant?

Hello, Annperlo.

Thanks for your post.

If you didn't have sex (intercourse/ejaculation inside you) and are having a period, (bleeding with a flow) even without much cramping, you are not pregnant. Brown colored discharge can happen before a period begins. You can always contact your doctor to ease your mind that your period is normal.

Thank you Helena.

I was just concerned because I'm not cramping at all, and usually I always do. Could it be the fingering that caused this? I'm just confused.

Thank you Helena.

Do you think that no cramping is normal? Even for someone like me- who has always had cramping, even while on the pill for a few years? I understand that things can change, but it is just a little concerning. Also, could any of this be because of getting fingered? I was expecting my period this week so it makes sense that it is my period, but I'm just confused on why it's different this month.

Hi,

You can make an appointment with your doctor to be sure nothing else is going on, just to ease your mind since you are so concerned over this. But fingering would not cause the lack of period cramps.
