I by mistake used a towel to clean my vagina that was used by some male 6-7 hours before. I have a doubt that the towel contained a sperm or a semen. If I use the same towel after 6 hours than will the sperm be alive? Please help me with my query as I am really worried and dont have much knowledge about these things.

Hello Anonymous,
Thank you for your question.
Sperm can survive outside the body for about one hour. As a rule of thumb, once the semen is dried, the sperm has died.
You would have known if there was dried semen on that towel. There would have been an area where the towel fabric looked like it had been wet with a sticky fluid and now was dry.

Hi Anonymous,
One cannot pinpoint the maximum amount of time it would take. It would dry faster if the air in the room is hot and dry, but longer if the air is very humid.
Yes, I am certain that any semen on the towel would have been dried six hours later when you used it.
