I'm 17 and had my period since 11. I'm late on my period 9 days now but I'm a virgin. This is the first time my period has been this late. My breasts have gotten bigger and my stomach is bloating and hard. I am paranoid right now that I might be pregnant please help!

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Being really stressed out can cause your period to be late. Try to relax. As a virgin there is no risk of pregnancy.

Maryann

Thank you. I was getting worried since I heard cases where you don't need sexual intercourse to be pregnant. None of these symptoms ever happened to me(late period, tender breasts, bloating).

Hello Anonymous,

Please try to relax. I don't know what you heard, but to conceive, sperm needs to fertilize a mature egg and the mature egg must implant in the lining of the uterus. This happens with vaginal sexual intercourse, or in vitro fertilization.

Regards,
Maryann

Hello. This is anon again.
So I started my period 2 days ago but my blood came out light and pink with a bit of red. I usually bleed heavily. This is my 3rd day now and I have little to no blood coming out. My period lasts typically 3 days and often extends to 4 or 5 days. I did not get any cramps either. I don't know what's happening.

IF YOU ARE STILL A VIRGIN, THEN YOU NEED NOT THINK OF BEING PREGNANT. BUT IF YOU ARE SO MUCH WORRIED ABOUT YOUR SITUATION, THEN TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR
