Hi,
I am 23yr old woman. I and my lover made love each other on Jan 6, 2017(second day after periods ended) without penetration. The genitals touched anyway and he ejaculated while genitals touched but no penetration.

My last periods started on dec31 to jan4.Then, It has been 10 days I missed my periods. so contacted a doctor(I didn't mention her about 'made love') and after taking medication, I got periods which lasted 8 days. Then after consulting the doctor, took medicine to stop periods. It stopped immediately after 2 days after medication.

Then I stopped taking medicine once periods stopped. After 15 days I got another period that lasted 5days (normal for me). After that, 7 days later got another period(now its 4th day). This time the bleeding is heavy on the first day. But lesser on 2nd and 3rd day.

During start of March, I got home pregnancy result as negative with early morning sample.

Note: In between from end of Jan till mid of Feb, I went aerobics classes(1hr) for 3 weeks once in two days (This is the first time when I worked out a lot putting much effort with my body)

My questions are:
1. will the delay in periods initially is due to heavy work out that I made during aerobics class?
2. Is my bleeding is periods or implantation bleeding? Will I be pregnant?( I don't want to

Hello Funk Lassie,

Welcome to the EmpowHER community. Thank you for reaching out to us with your questions.

A marked increase in physical exercise, like when someone is training to run a marathon race, can cause a delay in the start of her period.

Implantation bleeding is pink or brown spotting that happens about six to 12 days following conception. It lasts about two to three days, never increases to a flow, like a period, and goes away on its own.

Funk Lassie, what is the name of the medication that the doctor prescribed?

In your situation, you need to speak with your physician. Report what you have been experiencing. Keep us updated once you have consulted with her.

Regards,
Maryann

Hello Funk Lassie,

Thank you for this. I cannot offer any explanation as to why your physician would have prescribed these medications. Please speak with her.
