Jeanette describes her first impression of minimally invasive spine surgery before consenting to the procedure.

Leading up to my surgery with Dr. Kim, I was of course extremely nervous after having two failed spine surgeries, so obviously the word ”minimally invasive” sounded really good to me knowing that regular surgery was not only not solving my problem, but making my condition worse.

So, I was nervous to have any surgery again at all, but once we did our research on minimally invasive it sounded like such a better route to go. But the technology he had was so new, and most people hadn’t heard of it, so of course we were a little uneasy about it, but after visiting with Dr. Kim just through my regular patient visits, we knew that he was the one to do it.
