VIDEO - HERSTORY: Terrece Shares How Artwork Aided In Her Cancer Treatment

Terrece explains how artwork became a part of her cancer treatment at CTCA.

Terrece:
As part of my treatment, I would meet with my oncologist Dr. Citrin and as an artist I would bring artwork and show him and so, he was very pleased that I was doing something positive with my journey and my artwork ended up being a chronology of the different stages and how I felt during the treatment period. So that’s a really neat story.

And then Dr. Bloom, the psychiatrist, he would help me analyze my artwork because I had a hard time expressing myself in how I was feeling. So the artwork was my expression and when they say artwork, you know the expression of art is worth a thousand words, it is because I couldn’t say a thousand words, but I could paint something.
