Ive been ill for the past 3 weeks with what is thought to be Meniere's Disease, an idiopathic condition of the inner ear. Vertigo, or the feeling of dizziness and spinning, hearing loss, nauceousness, vomitting are all symptoms. I am now going to a specialist who is sending me for
numerous blood tests and an MRI to discount other illnesses.
Has anyone else experienced this disabling disease? What did YOU do to get
well and move on?

I have had numerous bouts of vertigo and was finally diagnosed with Meniere's about 5-6 years ago. However, I am currently sick in bed with an extended episode of constant vertigo that my otolaryngologist has dignosed as a virus of the vestibular nerve. Unfortunately, this takes weeks to months to recover (versus 1-2 days with Meniere's). So, ask your doctor or check internet for other possible causes. Unfortunately, I am told neither Meniere's nor this virus has a cure. Although I have been somewhat successful curbing the Meniere's by limiting salt, caffeine, and alcohol.
I feel your pain and pray you find relief.
